Who runs it
Your committee
Volunteers, not officials. It is just a group of people who want to make Stowford as good as it possibly can be. We work in a spirit of openness and transparency, and we always welcome residents who would like to contribute.

The ground under the houses
A mill, then a place to live
William Dunsterville took the lease on Stowford Barton in 1787 and built a paper mill beside the corn mill and the leat. It made its first watermarked paper in 1843, survived bankruptcy and the fire of 5 May 1914, and produced its last reel on 21 November 2013 after 226 years. The houses came afterwards.
